Abstract

Health and sports are closely linked and physical exercise is as important to the mind as it is to the body. Nutrition and well being hence assumes vital role in the field of sports. During the past 20 years there have been great developments in the scientific understanding of the role of nutrition in health and physical performance. Efforts have constantly been made by the scientists to find out a suitable diet which can increase the physical performance or capacity of the athletes.
